Pastor Jim Parker and Rosie Parker

Senior and Preaching Pastor
Pastor Jim Parker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Literature from Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, Washington. During the next ten years, he served as youth pastor at two large churches, as well as serving in leadership in the Youth Department of the Northwest District of the Assemblies of God. During this time, his life was changed by the message of the Word of Faith. In 1988, he and his wife Rosie founded Living Word Christian Center. Today Living Word is a strong, vibrant growing church. Pastor Jim and Rosie’s passion is to reach the city of Spokane with the love of Jesus and the teaching of God’s Word.

Chris “Mondo” Chambers

Assistant Pastor and Connect Groups Leader

Mondo has been attending Living Word since 1993. He got involved in the youth ministry and served as a leader. In 2000 Mondo took over the youth ministry and then in 2001 he came on staff as the Youth Pastor. In 2008 he moved into the Associate Pastor role and is also known as the resident San Diego Chargers fan. Mondo is married to Dorinda Chambers and they have been married for 3 years

Despite being a die hard San Diego Chargers fan and constantly fighting severe depression due to numerous first round play-off losses, Mondo is still a great asset to the staff at Living Word and a fun guy to be around.

Josh Parker

Youth and College Pastor

Josh, along with some close friends, started Proclaim College Ministry as sophomore in college while playing basketball at Spokane Falls Community College. After his two years at the Falls he transferred to Whitworth University, where he earned his B.A. in Business Management and minor in Biblical Studies. Shortly after graduation, Josh was placed on staff as the senior high and college age pastor working under Mondo. Mondo has since gone on to become assistant pastor, and currently Josh oversees the entire youth ministry. His heart is to see the youth and college age students live passionate lives seeking after Jesus and living out the Gospel in their schools, homes and community.

Josh loves the outdoors and enjoys doing anything that is active or competitive. In fact, he has the on going challenge that if any of the youth can beat him in PIG or ping pong, he will buy them an energy drink. We dare you to challenge him.

Jon Deviny and Naomi Deviny

Jon: Creative Arts and Media director
Naomi: Worship Arts Director and Youth Intern Director

The story of Jon and Naomi can be likened to that of a fairy tale. Jon was a single young man with a heart to serve God and the church, while Naomi was seeking after God’s heart and going to school in the distant country of UW (University of Washington). Jon, being one of original settlers of Proclaim College Ministry, knew that God had his princess waiting to be found somewhere. It wasn’t long before God brought Naomi from the far far far away country of UW to Spokane Washington. They met at college group and it’s safe to say it was love at first sight and the rest is history. They lived happily ever after, well 3 years and counting.

Jon and Naomi have faithfully served God and the church and recently were placed on staff. It is Jon and Naomi’s passion to glorify God through the use of creative arts, music and media. They both have a heart for people and their desire is to see people to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
